The wonder of fresh fruit and vegetables... and a round up of the rest of the week.

This week the babies have been exploring lots of different fruit and vegetables. Whilst exploring the vegetable patch, one of the babies noticed some of the strawberries that had grown... How exciting!!!

Intent -
To allow the children to explore the fruit - pick the fruit, wash and taste.

Implementation-

The children helped to wash the fruit and had a little taste. The rest of the strawberries were used to
make some delicious strawberry ice cream... The children helped to mash the fruit and stir.

And of course taste.....The verdict? mmmmm

We have also tasted a variety of fruit and vegetables this week and we plan to visit the green grocers next week as an extension to this...
