National School Meals Week

Amanda has been asked by the Local Authorities Catering Association (LACA) to be an Ambassador and promote National School Meals Week. The Nursery will be taking part in a week’s worth of activities during the week of the 5th November. Activities are all based around this year’s themes, Get Traditional, Get Celebrating, Get Exploring, Get Eating and Get Pudding. We are very excited to join in with such a great campaign to educate our children on healthy food choices for a healthier future. Look out for more information in nursery or log on to the web site below and have a look for yourselves.

Find out how Amanda feels about her new Ambassador role and exactly what she has planned for nursery at http://www.iloveschoolmeals.co.uk/Media/I-love-school-meals-blogs/

Warburtons Visit Sept 2012

Warburtons visited the nursery 25th and 27th Sept and the Inventor children and some of the Explorers donned their aprons and hair nets and each made their very own hedgehog loaf. They learnt all about hygiene and how bread is made. The Inventors also carried out a week of activities to support the Warburtons visit exploring making their own flavours of bread, including coffee, banana, chocolate and lemon, reading and learning about The Little Red Hen, bread tasting and a variety of other activities.
