The team have been setting up open ended activities which encourage thinking, problem solving creativity, explanations.... and talking.....
The yellow hoop was placed on the fence out of reach before the children went outside to play. some of the children noticed the hoop and began to speculate about how it got there....They then use object around them to get the hoop down. The team stepped back and observed. ....
As you can see from the photographs the children tried different ways and worked together until they got the hoop down from the fence. They then used the hoop to play the game 'smoke,smoke, fire'.
