children were encouraged to know their views count, value each other’s views and values
and talk about their feelings, for example when they do or do not need help.
Staff supported the decisions that children made, provided opportunities for turn-taking, sharing and collaboration.
The role play was turned into an ice-cream parlour, children explored the different materials, and used their own ideas to make ice-cream.
